Scholls, Oregon

About 20 miles southwest of Portland, Scholls, is a great place for farm fresh produce, u-picks, country fairs, festivals, and family oriented activities...

Spring through late Fall, Scholls is a great place to visit for just about any kind of fresh produce that grows here in the Northwest. Many of the local farms sponsor several activities. Scholls and the surrounding area are especially a must-see when the apples are ripe and the pumpkins are ready. This is a great place to take the kids for fresh squeezed cider, berry picking, and that special pumpkin.

Smith Berry Barn

Smiths Berry Barn is a u-pick, produce stand and gift shop all-in-one. They have blueberries, raspberries, various assortment of blackberries, various fresh produce and much more. Their gift shop carries They make wonderful milkshakes. My favorite is mocha.

Mandy's South Store Cafe

Mandy's is a small restaurant on the corner of Scholls Ferry Road and Hwy 219 across from Smith's Berry Barn. They have coffee (and tea) drinks, sandwiches, delicious soups and fantastic baked goodies. They are opened from Tues through Sunday from 9am to 3pm, sometimes other times as well.

Petrichs

The only grocery store in Scholls. The store burned down in the 70's and has been rebuilt. They have gas and all the essentials (and a bit more) for an outing in the country.

Rowell Brothers

This is a u-pick right on Scholls Ferry Road. They have way too many berries to name. They are open seasonally, when the berries are ripe.
