Hillsboro Oregon Saturday Farmer's Market

The Downtown Hillsboro Farmers Market is so abundant that I couldn't resist taking pictures. These pictures were taken August 12, 2006. Green Beans, Potatoes, Onions, Corn, Peaches and Garlic were in their prime. The blueberries and raspberries were scarce. The apples were just starting and the pumpkins and goards still had another half a month before they were ready. This is the place for family fun and fresh produce.

July and August are prime times to go visit the local farmers market.

Flowers are abundant this time a year. The vendor in the picture above will custom make your bouquet for you.

Don't forget the food vendors at the market. The picture above shows cheesecake. You can find many delicious things to eat. My youngest favorite is BBQ baby back ribs.

Some Vendors Information

Rainyway Farm

I bought my garlic from them this year. Last year I bought fingerling potatoes from them. They have 30 varieties of Potatoes. Also they have garlic, shallots, pumpkins and goards.

The Onion Guy

He sells Walla Walla Sweet onions. I didn't get his name, but if he sees his picture and emails me, I'll post his business information. He says the onions are super sweet this year.

Aprile Flowers
